Debra Levy
Ralph Nader once called her “indefatigable” in her quest for glass safety. Jack Welch told her she was one of the best writers he’d ever read. And she has spent decades providing information for and about the glass industry and educating consumers about glass.
If it concerns architectural or automotive glass or window film, it concerns Deb Levy. The company began as a one-publication company in Deb’s den and today offers five brands in digital and print platforms, live events, and research.
- USGlass magazine
- Door and Window Manufacturer (DWM) Magazine
- Window Film Magazine
- Auto Glass Repair and Replacement (AGRR) Magazine
- Paint Protection Film (PPF) Magazine
- as well as the e-newservices for each publication.
Key Media & Research (KMR) also manages live events in the glass industry each year, including Glass Expo Northeast™, Glass TEXpo™, Glass Expo Southeast™, the International Window Film Conference and Tint-Off™ and Auto Glass Week™, and provides a variety of custom publications and experience. It is a 30-year-old woman-owned business employing 35 people.
Deb holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the State University of New York at Albany and a Master’s in Economic Development from the University of Southern New Hampshire. She is a degree candidate for a Master’s in Digital Media Management from the University of Southern California (USC), anticipated graduation in August 2024.
Her industry involvement includes being a member of the ANSI Z97.1 Committee on Safety Glazing, the ANSI AGRSS Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standards Committee, the ANSI NWRD Repair of Laminated Auto Glass 2 Standard, and a variety of other industry committees.
She is the recipient of many awards and honors, including from the Auto Glass Safety Council, the Society of Glass and Ceramic Decorators, the Texas Glass Association, the Independent Glass Association, and the Long Island Glass Association.
“KMR bridges the gap between the glass industry and the dissemination of information for and about it,” says Deb. “We are partners with our customers focused on their success.”
Deb lives in suburban D.C. with her husband and their dog, Bailey.
